Christian Missions Unlimited is a nonprofit, volunteer mission organization based in Alabama. Our calling is Brazil! 

 

Simply put -- we help small, existing congregations by assisting with volunteer work for the completion of a new church structure. Building churches -- loving people -- expanding the Kingdom!

 

Churches are built by volunteers from all walks of life, and no prior construction experience is necessary. Teams usually consist of 15-20 volunteers and are assisted with a CMU team leader and a supervisor.. Each church built must have an actively meeting congregation, a mother church and its own property.

The costs for materials for a church at this time is $12,500. Churches and/or individuals throughout the US contribute these funds. This money is a GIFT to the church. In most cases, these church plants have been in existencefor several years and do not have the resources for their own structure.

 

Team members pay their own way and the cost is about $2,300 to $2,500  from Atlanta or  Miami (depending on destination). U.S. domestic tickets vary according to location.

 

Churches are constructed from the end of May through November, which is the dry season in Brazil. Most trips with CMU last about 9 days. In addition to helping with the building, volunteers bring items to give away, facilitate vbS and interact with the community.

 

Men, women and young people are welcome to volunteer. All are a part of the work team and perform various tasks according to their ability.

 

The ministry emphasis here at Christian Missions Unlimited is not only about helping the people of Brazil, but giving ordinary people an extraordinary opportunity to participate in something that will enrich and change their life.
